Aviation - early flight in Reservoir

In the early 1900s a significant event occurred in Reservoir when an early airplane landed in paddocks at Reservoir.

The aircraft, a Bleriot X was one of the earliest aircraft to be seen in Australia, the first arriving in this country in 1914.  A French stunt pilot named Maurice Gillaux brought one into Australia in April 1914 and flew it from Sydney to Melbourne as part of a mail run.   This may be the event recorded in this photograph.
