Wallis Buildings

223-243 High Street, Northcote

The Wallis Buildings were constructed by Northcote Councillor William Wallis in 1886.  In total there are twelve buildings in the complex, built between 1883 and 1891.   Amongst the many occupants of the buildings have been real estate agents, fruiterers, drapers, bootmakers and even an oyster saloon.
