Valerie Roberts

Born in Ballarat, Valerie Roberts moved to Darebin to become a physical education teacher at Preston Technical College.  As well as being Victorian gymnastics champion from 1961 to 1966, Roberts competed in both the 1960 Rome Olympics and the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. 

In 1968 she was the captain of the Women’s Track and Field Team at the Mexico City Olympics.
