Fred Page

Article about Fred Page (ex Preston Tech), Brian Harris and John Miller and their adventures in showing films in his parents' garage in the late 1940s as a makeshift cinema.  The theatre was named 'The Crown'.  Seats and projection equipment were gleaned from various venues.  Admission was 2d.

They made a 'western' 'filmed in an old quarry where Bell St crosses the Darebin Creek'.
