Thomas William Mason

Thomas Mason was a well known figure in the manufacturing trade between 1854 until his retirement in the late 1880s.  Living in Northcote,  he had strong interests in rowing and served on the Melbourne Regatta Committee.  He also served as a senior sergeant in the first Victorian volunteer force (a precursor to the Victorian Police Force.)
