Fred Poole's Coffee Palace

131 Plenty Road, Preston

Fred Poole opened his coffee palace in 1891 only a block up from Mary Cunningham’s Coffee Haven at 77 Plenty Road.   Clearly the Preston public did not need two coffee palaces as his establishment had closed by the end of the year.
