The photo was taken on 6 Aug 1919 following the arrival from England of the ship Konig Frederich August which carried WW1 troops returning to Australia . News item from The Age 7 Aug 1919 http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article202444736 The homecoming of Robert Nelson ANDERSON, son of Wm ANDERSON and Florence BEETCHENOW. Robert was the nephew of Emily Eliza ELVINS formerly JUNKER nee BEETCHENOW, owner and licensee of the Grandview Hotel. The driver of the car is standing at the rear with goggles on his cap. Seated in the rear of the car are Emily ELVINS, Robert ANDERSON and his English wife Emily YATES. The infant is Geoffrey Hubert JUNKER born 14 Apr 1919, Emily's grandson, nursed by his mother Maria and his father Carl Wilhelm JUNKER is seated at the wheel.
