Elderly businessman Orfeo Baldissera was allegedly murdered by Miroslav Juric and two others in his Preston home. In May 1996 sixty-nine year old Orfeo was tied up and eventually stabbed because the home invaders believed that there was money on the premises. Juric was convicted and sentenced to 27 years jail. The appeal trial ended with a hung jury and Juric was freed in late 2003. Within days he had committed further crimes and was eventually deported to Bosnia. It is reported that Juric may have been murdered in a night club in Sarajevo in 2005.
